- *Three Signs Of A Ripening Market For Alternative and Distributed Energy
(By Jamie Wimberly, CEO, Distributed Energy Financial Group) - For many who follow alternative and distributed energy market developments, the past five years have been a roller coaster ride, with steep rises, falls, and twists of every sort. However, over the past year, the alternative and distributed energy market seems to be ripening in a real and sustainable manner, and the market could be closer to a tipping point than anytime beforehand.

- “Smart Investors Should Look at Ethanol Before They Catch Ethanol Fever” (By Russell Hasan,
www.altenews.com) - With growing concern over global warming caused by pollution, a need for independence from foreign oil shipped from the politically unstable Middle East, and a rising price of oil, there has come a blossoming grasp of the need for renewable energy and the dire consequences of a failure to develop alternative resources. Coverage of these issues in the media, and the promotion of ethanol as a solution to replace oil-based gasoline, has pushed ethanol into the public spotlight and spurred an ethanol investment craze. Ethanol is one of the hottest things on Wall Street, and investors are pouring money in at a feverish pace. Unfortunately, the ethanol hype seems to have distorted investors’ tendency to invest based on hard facts and economic data.
