Music downloads are raking in millions every day now...so much has
changed since the early free music downloads from Napster. The music
industry last year brought in a billion and a half dollars and expects this
year to more than double that figure, selling digital music files to all the
new iPod owners.
February 2, 2006 -- Recording artists are concerned that mp3 music downloads
ruin the sound of their music, and they are 100% right. Mp3 music files are
compressed. The end result is bad sound quality. One music download service,
MusicGiants has corrected the problem by utilizing a new digital download
format, called Windows Media Audio - Lossless. These new music downloads
actually sound 7 times better than mp3's.
This new music download technology has reinvented the wheel. Its 5.1
channel, high-definition audio format, produces music so rich and clear that
when compared to compressed digital files any listener immediately hears the
astounding difference. MusicGiants, the creator of high-fidelity music
downloads, says they plan to offer this format as part of its MusicGiants
Network premium music download service this year.

new download music store. "There are an estimated 35 million homes in the
U.S. with 5.1 music systems and not a quality song to play on them. Once you

from Walmart"
MusicGiants is the first music download service to offer high-fidelity music
downloads, including the complete digital music libraries of all the major
music labels. Each artist is re-mastered in the Windows Media Audio Lossless
format. The fine print on this says "the new download format provides the
sound quality of the original digital recording, demonstrably superior in
playback quality to compressed music from existing download services.
Ordinary music download stores provide music at data rates of 128 to 192
kbps (kilobytes per second), while MusicGiants' Windows Media Audio Lossless
downloads reproduce music at up to 1100 kbps, delivering the true sound
quality of the original CD.
